By the intercession of the Jerusalem Icon of the Holy Mother of God, the Byzantine army repulsed an invasion of the Skyths. In 988 the icon was transferred to Korsun and given to the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir. When the people of Novgorod accepted Christianity, Saint Vladimir then sent them this image. Ivan the Terrible in 1571 transferred the icon to the Moscow Uspenie (Dormition) cathedral. During the time of the Napoleonic invasion of 1812, the original vanished and was replaced by an accurate copy.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BuyRussianGifts Store","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":54688610812188,"sku":"awk1791835817963","price":6.49,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0940\/9609\/7564\/files\/jerusalem-mother-of-god-triptych_1.jpg?v=1791835823","url":"https:\/\/www.coralparcel.shop\/products\/jerusalem-mother-of-god-triptych","provider":"My Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
