We used to sell camp trunks with wheels permanently attached. The trouble with them being permanent is that footlockers go through lots of handling and travel—being thrown into car trunks, undergoing air travel, being hauled around, getting stacked—and tend to get damaged. When the wheels on camp trunks are damaged, the whole trunk is rendered useless.

Eventually, we asked ourselves how we could provide an accessory to our trunks so our customers can have wheels when they wanted them and none when they didn’t.

The Wheel Away System is our most popular accessory with 62% of our customers ordering them along with their trunks on their first order. The ones who don’t wish they had and end up ordering them later. Save yourself an extra order and let us install them right here for free (though installations at home are made to be incredibly simple).

When we install the simple steel bracket of the Wheel Away System, it adds no extra height to your trunk so no worries about exceeding height restrictions. But you can instantly pop each wheel on and then remove them just as easily anyway with just a little tug—no tools required! Once removed, the wheels can be stored away in the handy cinch sack they come in.

Life (and camp) can throw anything your way, but you’ve got it covered. Pop on the Wheel Away System when you head to summer camp today and make your child a happy camper. Summer camp trunks with wheels make the summer even easier so add this accessory to your trunk at checkout and don't move your footlocker another inch without adding our Wheel Away accessory!

Add more accessories, other gadgets, and further personalization when you click right here.
